Good used computer parts shops in KC?

Hi all,

Will be in KC later this week and looking for any well stocked used /
salvage / recycle computer shops to visit. Only one I know of is Computer
Swap & Shop on Johnson Dr. in Mission. Used to go to the Computer Garage in
Merriam all the time, but I think they closed up a few years ago.

If your looking for used and salvage the place to go is Surplus Exchange.
Its kind of hit and miss some weeks they have very little other times the
selection is fantastic. My last trip only resulted in a p3 1gig workstation
for my sister and a few odd cards (video, sound). The trip before that
resulted in a dual xeon chassis with two 1.2 gig processors and a gig or
ram, no drives but for $100 it was a good deal. I also picked up a compaq
proliant 1600 with dual p3 600 processors and 5 9gig ultra scsi 2 drives for
$50.00. Good for playing around with web development etc.

Surplus exchagne is in the bottoms district (east of the arena) on santa fe,
I cant remember the exact address but i know its in the 500's. You really
cant miss it as it is in a big warehouse under the overpass. I think their
