Beautify roadsides and save money by not mowing

The state of Missouri could save a huge amount of money and our
roadsides would look much better if we did NOT mow! With gasoline
prices so high, the fuel bill for mowing is astronomical. This time
of year, summer wildflowers can be spectacular if they're allowed to
grow. With the extra sunshine from above the road, native prairie
flowers can flourish. It seems like a no-brainer not to mow, but it's
still common to see ugly, wide, inch-tall, eviscerated grass on the
state's roads.

Private land would also be better and the owners would save money if
they didn't mow, for example at the edges of workplace parking lots.

I'm all for it. Just like the city of Webster tried to sue a lady,
who wanted plants, vegetation, bushes, vines in her yard instead of a
boring mowed lawn. Who in the hell said that manicured lawns were
mandatory. I think of you want to plant pumpkins in your front yard
you should be able to do so.
