WiFi near KC Medical Center?

Hi,

Mom is at the KC medical center taking care of Dad who is the patient.
Near as I can tell, the KC Medical WiFi is closed. But it looks like
there are a couple of hotspots on W. 39th.

Any other recommendations near the hospital?

Also, is there a recommended Mac store in the area?
How about an active Mac User group?

Thanks

You shouldn't be piggybacking off other people's wi-fi unless they
specifically offer it as a service. That's stealing.

I asked for a recommendation for a nice, open WiFi place for my Mom.
Obviously this remains a foreign concept to you and your family but in
our neck of the woods, we call it Southern Hospitality . . . something
you, Laura, are unlikly to ever understand.

Some friendly people may be willing to let your mom use their Wi-Fi if
you ask them. However, people who pay for this service don't want
their performance degraded by a lot of people helping themselves
without even asking first. That happens.

I'm sure there are appropriate options available. However, I don't
live in that part of town so I can't recommend one.

No problem. If my brother George doesn't solve the problem this week,
I'll drive up from Alabama this weekend, see Dad and work out any
remaining issues Mom might have. With a hybrid-electic, it won't cost
much.

Ask around the hospital. Check with the library. See if there's a
coffee house in the area that offers Internet service. Those are some
ideas.

Just don't get your mother into something that could be embarrassing
for her if she got caught.

Best to you.
